Givi Topchishvili speaks at Level Up Ukraine Economic Business Forum in Kiev
Givi Topchishvili, President and Founder of the 9.8 Group spoke at the International Economic Business Forum “Level Up Ukraine: doing business in the Era of Global Transformations.” The event featured leading experts from 10 countries discussing the global and local economic trends and how those trends impact Ukrainian business. It was also a platform for them to share their experience in international business and offer guidance on international trading opportunities in the era of global transformations.
The audience at the Forum included over 600 participants, mostly C-level executives, business leaders and economists, from across the spectrum of the Ukrainian business world: agribusiness, retail, pharmaceutical market, IT and Internet services, legal business and asset management companies, banks, insurance companies, industrial enterprises, exporters.
Mr. Tochishvili’s sessions focused on the nuances of market entry into the United States, drawing on over 20 years of international experience. He was also asked by the organizers to address the rising concerns among Ukraine’s business world about the prospects the country faces in the light of Donald Trump’s victory in the US Elections. As reported by the Ukrainian press, Givi told the audience that in his opinion Mr. Trump’s pragmatic approach and business acumen open many new opportunities for the country, but to tap into them Ukraine must take action on the home front. “Now is the time for Ukraine to assess a place of its own on the map of innovation” said Topchishvili. “It can stimulate growth through grants and tax incentives for innovators and business owners while at the same time fostering entrepreneurship and technology on the university level. Americans will always look for the best and most cost-effective solutions, no matter where they may come from.”
